the warmth of jh’s fingers made me realize how long it has been since i’ve held anyone’s hand. his gentle pull on my arm to cross the road when i was bumbling down the wrong direction was nice. there was this silent, almost spiritual knowledge that i could trust this person to lead me toward the right path to the right altar in this convoluted landscape of life. in the recent absence of a certain bovine, i think i’ve especially come to realize that tenderness, warmth and guidance can be found in the hands of more than just one person alone.
